Benjamin is as a trained hand bookbinder and conservator in books, paper and parchment in the Netherlands engaged with conservation and traditional binding. He works for national and local authorities and private clients as well. Ineke concentrates herself on the decorative and funny side of the handbound book. She creates unique craft and desing books in a variety of sizes and shapes which can be seen on our Piggelmee website. The tranquillity of this scenic area is reflected in our work: time and attention for each item that is conserved or bound. Using traditional techniques and modern insights, we conserve centuries-old books, parchment and paper based documents, as well as creating new books for future generations. Archives; educational, church and public libraries and private collectors can avail of the opportunity to have their collections and collectables assessed, conserved and preserved for the future.
