This day last week Jean and I were starting on what turned out to be the most enjoyable weekend for a long time, beginning to learn about bookbinding. We both loved it, we learned so much and you somehow managed to make the experience both intensive and relaxing at the same time - quite an achievement! Your warm hospitality (and bright green bread) made it all the more memorable!

We both want to learn more, so hopefully we will get to your Bookbinding 2 course and amaze ourselves again!

Thanks to Benjamin and Ineke for hosting us for a wonderful weekend of bookbinding. We thoroughly enjoyed learning our new bookbinding skills from Benjamin – which we’ve been able to put into practice since the workshop thanks to his clear instruction and guidance. A really enjoyable, engaging and interesting two days – we would highly recommend the course to anyone with an interest in bookbinding and book/paper crafts. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful!

My introduction to bookbinding was everything I hoped for and much more! Benjamin was a patient and inspiring teacher. Every meticulous step was explained clearly with invaluable hints and tips along the way.

The two days flew by and I can’t wait to the follow-up course

When I did the Merchants & Tradesmen course, Benjamin taught with great skill and a good sense of humour, and the small size of the course allowed him to give us all the attention we needed to complete and individualise our projects. The teabreaks and meals were a great opportunity for more personal conversations with Benjamin and his lovely wife Ineke, to admire the beautiful spot they have made their home and to relax from the intensity of the bookbinding. The whole weekend was a wonderful experience and it was great to be able to take away so much to think about, such valuable information about tools, materials and techniques; and of course their physical manifestation: the handbound notebooks of which we can be, and are, very proud!
